Automated Testing
During my time at JobTopGun, I took on a major project focused on mapping out the user journey for all company products. This initiative aimed to facilitate outsourced automated testing, enabling me to analyze and enhance each product’s user flow, identify missing cases, and improve overall usability. The project spanned multiple platforms, including Super Recruit Success (website and app), JobTopGun (website and app), YouSayHrSay (website and app), and Sales Online (website and app).

The Challenge
Problem Statement
Given the complexity of the products and their distinctive user journeys, achieving perfection within the given timeline was challenging. With intricate features and multifaceted user flows, the process of developing and refining these journeys required extensive time and effort. Additionally, addressing every detail simultaneously proved impractical, so we needed a more strategic approach to tackle the most critical issues first.
The Solution
Phased Optimization and Strategic Resource Allocation
Identifying & Prioritizing Issues: We identified critical flow issues that impacted the overall user experience and focused on improving those first.
Phased Resolution: Tackling problems in phases allowed us to address the most significant pain points early and gradually refine the entire user journey.
Resource Management: By concentrating on high-priority issues, we optimized resource allocation and ensured the most impactful changes were made efficiently.
Testing Strategy: A thorough testing framework was implemented for automation, ensuring every possible scenario, including edge cases, was accounted for. This allowed us to continually test and iterate on the user journey for smooth functionality.
Journey Completion Rate: Tracked the rate at which users completed their journeys without encountering issues.
Issue Resolution Time: Measured the time it took to resolve high-priority issues and optimize the user journey.
Automation Coverage: Evaluated how thoroughly the automated testing covered key flows, including edge cases and error paths.
